Grenache is front and center in our GSM blend, which also features 37% Mourvèdre and 15% Syrah.  Lush and fruit-driven, its sum is even greater than its parts as the Mourvèdre brings primal notes of dark earth and supple leather.  Syrah rounds out the palate with density, color, and spice.  We sourced our fruit for this wine from Stolpman, Watch Hill, and Camp 4 Vineyards.  Whole berries were cold-soaked before inoculation with RC212 yeast, and the Grenache features 20% whole cluster. Barrels were sampled in the spring of last year, and then carefully chosen to create this blend.  This wine is interesting now and will be fascinating with another year or two in bottle!
